"Embrace Joy" Mixed Media Painting & Assemblage

 While browsing around on the OWOH blog event I saw lots of fun, colorful, whimsical artwork that I just LOVED. So trying to break out of my box and in the mood to just play I started on this painting and assemblage work yesterday evening.

I had so much fun and it was a very "joyful" experience for me so the title "embrace joy" is very fitting.
I think from now on I won't find it so hard to add color and fun into my artwork. Of course I still love earth tones and rust but a little whimsy goes a long way and makes the heart happy.

    Beautiful! I've been bitten by the mixed media bug, too. We'll see how that works out for me, lol!
