Lovely Old Postcards for Valentine's Day and a Concussion

Valentine Greeting Postcard front, I  found this one at a flea market recently. I love the sepia tones and softness of it. Also here is the back...

Also this Butterfly Life Post card, I adore the imagery of it...

How cute is this, and the back too...

I hope you enjoy these old postcards as much as I do. I think they would make great valentines.

So this weekend was quite productive. I had the rare chance to rearrange my studio Saturday. My "studio" is in my kitchen/dining room area and it has been separated into two halves across the room from each other by a big china cabinet. I was able to switch my work desk (which is also my Great Grandfather's jewelers bench that he made himself)  with the china cabinet so that my work area is one continuous flow. I'm very excited. That took most of the day along with the organizing of materials and supplies, but I did manage to get a pocket journal done. I'll be sharing pics of that tomorrow.

Sunday we took the kids to a birthday party at a skating rink. I haven't been on skates for at least 15 years and proved to myself that I shouldn't have been on skates yesterday. Trying to show my 10 year old how to use the stoppers, my rolling left  foot got caught on a table leg, my right foot came off the stopper, and my hiney and my head hit the concrete floor. I now have a concussion bad enough that my ears hurt.
Needless to say that will be the last time my feet end up on wheels unless I'm in a car.
Since no one would let me take a nap because of the concussion, I was working on a PDF pattern file that I will be putting up for sale in my Etsy shop soon. I've seen the fabric crayon rolls that are all over the internet these days in various shapes sizes and colors, but this one will be different. While walking through a local flea market recently I came upon a doll from the 1940's that had a crayon holder dress. It was only $10 but I didn't have the money for it that day. So I came up with a similar pattern for the craft dolls you can buy at Hobby Lobby. I'll share a pic of the finished design later this week. It's too cute!
Well thanks for stopping by today. I hope your day is a good one.

Ouch!!! That is totally making my head hurt and I am now squinting and ducking for some reason.... (I am soooo weird...) Hope you are feeling better soon, and such a bummer that when you feel bad, you can't have a nap.
