Come to work with me...

So today I'm at work and while on break I thought I would share with you a few of the things that I see everyday. I run industrial embroidery machines full time for a local company. This is the six head machine that I sew flat pieces on, shirts, blankets, towels, etc.

Button, button, who's got the button? It's sad that I don't even use most of these. Technically I only use 5 of the buttons on this machine. I program in the design...

Hoop up a garment, then place it into the machine and let it sew.

But before it sews I have to load the thread colors, a brand new box of red.

This is the hat machine. It is directly across from the flat machine and I run both machines at the same time frequently.

Sparkles and shines of all different colors. We also put "twinkles" on shirts. (When I say "we" I mean "I" as I am the only person in my department, I'm a multitasking creative type)

This is on my desk. A little hand I made out of a spare piece of copper wire that was lying around here at work, it reminds me that I'm doing a good job and jumps up and gives me a high five every once in a while.

The rock is a reminder of a friend. It's "Rockbert" named after Robert who passed away last year. During his memorial his family told of a story about how Robert didn't have the money for Christmas presents for all his nieces and nephews so he made pet rocks for all of them. The were dubbed pet "Rockberts" So they made a whole bunch of them and handed them out at the memorial which I thought was too sweet, so here he sits.

It's almost time for lunch so you'll have to go to the flea market with me while we're out for an hour. We'll find the most wonderful deals and have lots to talk about when we blog. So come on down!
