I'm Published! In Art Doll Quarterly! Woo-Hoo!

Several months ago I read about a challenge from Art Doll Quarterly Magazine. Basically you were to make a doll out of anything metal, just use your imagination.
So I made a Marie Antoinette Doll out of vintage cake supplies and sent it in. I didn't hear anything and yesterday I got home to find a complimentary issue in my mail and my "Marie In Metal" doll published within it's pages! How exciting! I've been published before in the scrapbooking world but this is the first time my mixed media artwork has been published.
I don't think she weathered the trip very well, her front got a little mussed up in shipping, wish I could have been there on picture day to straighten her hair and fix her dress, LOL. But there she is!

In the August/September/October 2010 edition of Art Doll Quarterly
Go pick up a copy soon!

Congratulations! You should be so proud and she is really amazing. I admire mixed media. I have always wanted to be published but you have to enter first...

What brought me to your site is that I am a new Bloggerette Sorority Sister. I wanted to drop by and introduce myself and let you know I am looking forward to joining in on the fun and meeting people that share my passions for crafting, scrapbooking Well, all papercrafts really... and now blogging. (Newbie blogger of 2 weeks!)
