Trying to find my muse. She's gone on vacation and forgot to tell me where she was going.
Wanting desperately to create something...ANYTHING!
Looking for inspiration...
“Nothing is done. Everything in the world remains to be done or done over. The greatest picture is not yet painted, the greatest play isn’t written, the greatest poem is unsung. There isn’t in all the world a perfect railroad, nor a good government, nor a sound law. Physics, mathematics, and especially the most advanced and exact of the sciences are being fundamentally revised. . . Psychology, economics, and sociology are awaiting a Darwin, whose work in turn is awaiting an Einstein.” — Lincoln Steffens

I have those slumps too. I think it is just your body and mind telling you to slow down and take a break. Your muse will return.
Oh I know that feeling all too well. My muse is cruel, sometimes she just goes outside and watches me suffering through the window but won't come in and help, lol. But they always come back. Maybe it's a good time to dream about your studio :) Hope hubby is doing better.

I usually troll blogs and etsy for inspiration, or I just buy someones pattern and make it. My vision isn't always so great and when I see something on Etsy it isn't what I am seeing but then I take my vision and run with it. Make sense? That usually get's my juices flowing again. Also prayer helps me too. Heavenly Father knows I'd go insane if I couldn't create. Good luck!
Hi sweet Thespa...don't you worry, your muse will return...sometimes it just takes me straightening up my studio, going through my collections and supplies. I then remember project I had in mind for certain items ~ your blog is beautiful!!! hugs and love, Dawn
Maybe she slipped away for a quick vacation and will return soon with fresh, new inspiration and ideas! Hugs, Terri xoxo
I so know how you feel! But she will return and then the creativity will pour out of you. The quote is perfect for your post too.

I'm sorry your muse is on vacation but it feels good to know others share this problem. I lose my muse often and I really feel empty without it. With your creativity, I am confident yours will return soon!
Hang in there Thespa! Your muse will return. We all go through those times of feeling uninspired. Perhaps spring will be your muse! Have a wonderful Saturday!
Thespa, the music sure fits your mood! I hear you, girlfriend! I get those days, weeks, months too! *sigh* Sarah Ban Breathnach says this is the time when we're regrouping before the Big Idea! Keeping fingers crossed for ya!
Hugs, Diane
Your not alone GF, mine flys out the window all the time. I think with all going on with your hubby and the building it plays on the creativity. hang in there Thespa it will be back!!! with full force~~
hugs Lynn
Hi Thespa,
Hoping your muse got back from vacation. I have a theory that your muse is sympathetic with your poor hubby and his foot that got broken while creating your beautiful new studio. When his foot heals, your muse will come back, if not long before then!
Hope the foot is healing well. Take care,
Kate
I think we get in an artist slump because it is down time to gather our new artist direction. It is growing pains and making progress. Hope you will find your creativity again soon!!

Hi Hun,
everybody gets this at least once in their life. Don't worry your muse will be back when she is ready. Relax and think of her and she might just appear sooner than you think.

Okay, first change the music, you're going to begin your muse not give it up! Start by visiting others in blog land and enjoy the quite days with hubby recuperating beside you. The inspiration will come. There are too many important pressing things on your mind and that's when the creativity stops. It hasn't flown away it's just sitting there waiting patiently for it's turn, it knows it will have it's turn very soon. So Thespa I completely understand your predicament, I'm going through a lot lately with terminal illness in the family, and more illness to address in the coming weeks so this for us isn't over yet and we must give it our complete attention; very difficult to do more than that although i do try along the way and in turn helps me cope with these hard times. Take one day at a time, I'm sure your muse will return shortly.
All the best Annabelle : )
