Jewelry in Progress & Junk finds!

This week I'm working on several projects. Seems as though my muse is visiting and she's hungry for art.
This is a mixed media jewelry piece I'm working on, I've got several more layers I'm going to add but it's coming along nicely and it's one of those rare times when something is turning out as I planned.

Also went to Memphis last weekend to pick my kids up from their grandma and on the way down I stopped for lunch and a quick browse through the antique shops in Ozark Arkansas.
They had just the kind of junk I like, old, loved up, peeled paint kind of junk and these are just a few of the things I found...
I adore the ornate clasp on the front of this old hankie box.

The inside is just as lovely and loved up as the outside, all faded and lovely. It needs to be brushed out though. Found those unique clip-on earings and they reminded me of eyes with lashes and will probably go onto a mixed media doll of some sort, only time will tell. I love the old baby doll with hand painted eyes. It came perfectly as is missing limbs and all. And the little compact I thought was just too neat!
The old wrench will be used as the spine for a mixed media book I'm about to make.

Thanks for visiting me, hope your day is perfect!

What wonderful finds! And I love the sense history in the necklace. I'm eager to see what you make with your goodies.

I'm going to have to check out some of those antique stores in Ozark. I live in NW Arkansas - near Fayetteville - and LOVE to check out antique stores whenever I get the chance. If you have any recommendations for shops in Ozark, please let me know. :)

By the way, I LOVE your necklace. Very charming!
