Skinny Stocking Tutorial & Gift Swap Sign Up!

As promised today I'm sharing my skinny stocking pattern, just a quick one I drew up for a small skinny stocking this week.
The outside is natural batting and the inside is a fine muslin.
They are very simple and easy to make and can be decorated any way you want.

Pattern pieces, just right click and save then print to fit standard sheet of paper. Tape together at line.

These have a very small seam allowance of 1/4" so if you prefer to have more room for sewing you will need to add it to your pattern before you cut it out.

 1. pin pattern to double layer of natural quilt batting and cut out.
2. pin pattern to double layer of muslin and cut out

3. Stitch around stocking using 1/4" seam allowance making sure to start and stop stitching at the dots.
4. trim close to stitching and make a clip at the dot from the edge to the stitching.

5. Turn stocking right side out and pin the top edges (here you can see where the fabric was clipped at the dot)
6. stitch from top to dot.

7. Fold top of stocking down (now is a good time to stitch ribbon or lace to the bottom of the folded edge)

8. Decorate any way you like.
Enjoy!
This pattern is free to use any way you like. Although if you share it please add a link back to me.
